Safe Cylinder Handling & Transporting

Here are a few simple guidelines for the safe handling and transporting of small propane cylinders:

• Always keep your cylinder in a secure upright position. It should never be able to tip over or roll.
• Don’t leave your cylinder in your hot car, truck, etc. for an extended period.
• Only connect a cylinder to an appliance that is turned off.
• Every time you connect a cylinder to your grill (or any other appliance), check for leaks.
• Be sure to follow all manufacturer’s instructors when connecting your cylinder to your grill or other propane appliances.
• Store extra cylinders outside and away from your home or areas that become very hot (over 120 degrees Fahrenheit).
